Problem
The paper visiting card has outlived the way people actually work. Cards are handed over in a moment that matters and then lost, filed in a drawer, or typed into a CRM weeks later with half the detail wrong. The information on them goes stale the day someone changes role, and the context of the meeting — where you met, what you discussed, what you agreed to do next — disappears entirely.
Solution
A digital visiting card that behaves like a living professional profile rather than a static image. Identity and contact details stay current at the source, so an update propagates to everyone who holds the card. AI handles the tedious part: reading cards you receive, enriching them, de-duplicating against contacts you already hold, and capturing the context of the exchange while it is still fresh.
Business impact
Contact capture stops leaking. The professional network someone spends years building becomes a maintained asset instead of an ageing pile of cards, and the follow-up that usually never happens becomes the default path rather than the exception.

The problem worth solving

Business card exchange is one of the last genuinely analogue rituals left in professional life, and it persists because the moment matters. Handing someone a card is a small act of intent.

What follows is where it breaks. A conference produces forty cards. Perhaps six make it into a CRM. Of those six, several are already wrong by the time anyone acts on them — the person has changed role, the direct line has been reassigned, the company has rebranded. The remainder sit in a drawer as a record of meetings that led nowhere.

The failure is not the card. It is that the card is a snapshot of a moment, and professional identity is not a snapshot.

How the product works

The product treats a visiting card as a pointer to a maintained identity rather than as a copy of one.

A living identity

The card holder maintains one profile. Role changes, a new number, a moved office — the update happens once and reaches everyone who has already received the card. Nobody has to reissue anything, and nobody is holding a stale copy.

Capture that does the work for you

Cards received in the physical world are read, structured and enriched automatically. The system resolves what it can from public professional sources, flags what it cannot, and checks the result against contacts already held so the same person does not enter the network three times under three spellings.

Context, kept

Where you met, what was discussed and what was agreed sits attached to the contact. This is the part that paper never carried and the part that actually determines whether a first meeting turns into anything.

Where the value lands

The business case is not “cards are wasteful”, though they are. It is that the professional network someone builds over a career is a genuine asset that is currently allowed to decay.

  • Capture rate. The gap between cards received and contacts recorded closes, because recording stops being a manual chore performed days later.
  • Data quality. Contact records stay correct without anyone maintaining them, because they are maintained at the source by the person who knows best.
  • Follow-up. With context attached to the contact, the follow-up conversation has somewhere to start. That is where the commercial value of a network actually sits.
